We highly recommend having your shears serviced by the original manufacturing company to retain your warranty. If that's not possible, we can sharpen any other brand of shear, as long as it passes our initial service check.

We charge $40 per pair for non-Geib Buttercut shears.

Ideally, place your shears in the original case they came in, or wrap them in newspaper or bubble wrap. Ensure the tips are secure to avoid nicking in transit. Pack them in a box with extra filler to prevent movement during transit.

Yes, we sharpen curved chunkers, thinners, blenders, and texturizers in addition to straight shears.

No, clipper blade sharpening is not currently offered as part of our sharpening services.

We accept personal or business checks made payable to Geib Buttercut Enterprises LLC, as well as major credit cards. If no payment information was included with your shipment, we will contact you to collect payment prior to returning your shears.

All shears go through an initial service check upon arrival. We reserve the right to refuse sharpening services on any item for any reason. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for more information.

Expedited service is not available for the sharpening process itself. However, expedited return shipping options are available at checkout. Please refer to our current shipping rate options on the Sharpening Services page.

If payment was included with your order, you will not receive a separate notification. If no payment information was provided, we will contact you to collect payment prior to shipping your shears back. No additional notifications are sent during the process.

Most Geib Buttercut shears have the brand and model laser engraved directly on the shear. For any shear that does not have any identifiable markings, you are welcome to send us a picture of them and we will work to identify it for you to the best of our ability.

Yes, we sharpen shears regardless of where they were purchased or used. All shears are subject to the criteria outlined in our Terms & Conditions.
